The Baikal IZH-46M is one of the all time great airguns. Unfortunately getting parts for them has become rather challenging, and if you fail to fully lock your breech for one shot you’ll likely blow one out. Alternately if you store your gun with the breech locked or if your gun is getting old, you might be losing velocity and need a replacement. Having a few spares on hand never hurt anyone either.
Many of you are probably familiar with our blog post on attempting to replicate these seals and while we were mostly successful there were a number of improvements to be made to make them into a final product. These included completely changing the molding technique, material, processing and finishing but now we can confidently say we have a seal that performs identically to the original seals.
This is a set of 2 seals (part #19 in the associated diagram) made from out new high performance compound and ready to install.
