Weaver
The Weaver is a mighty micro slingshot, designed to pack the punch of a full sized slingshot in a compact package. The index finger is inserted through the hole all the way to the knuckle, and then wrapped around the back for retention. The thumb rests in the provided indent. Together they provide good control of a very small slingshot. The middle finger can optionally rest on the back opposite the thumb to further increase stability.
This design is a type of pickle fork. This means there is no fork-proper to provide clearance for the passing projectile. Instead, one should twist the pouch 90 degrees and slightly angle the thumb so that upon release the pouch and ball ride upwards along the thumb pad. This technique is easy to master, and ensures the ball clears the fork every time. Arguably the most famous slingshot shooter Joerg Sprave demonstrates this technique in slow motion.
Because these slingshots are 3D printed, we’re able to size them on a virtually continuous spectrum. The standard hole diameter is 23mm, which works for the majority of shooters, however if you have particularly large or small hands we can scale the slingshot custom for you.
