Scalpel Sheath
You may have noticed we use love scalpels here at STO, they are great for doing precision work or abusive cutting or working abrasive materials. This was a personal project of one of our engineers. The concept is simple: a friction fit sheath to firmly hold a #9 Swann Morton scalpel handle, keeping it available at the corner of the pocket ready for quick one hand removal and reinsertion.
To this end it features a stylishly patterned toothed-clip which firmly holds the sheath to the pocket, even upside down. The bottom features a pair of drain holes to keep things dry, and the top has a slot for a 3x11mm tritium vial for those who appreciate such embellishment.
To keep blades wicked sharp, the sheath grips the bayonet rather than the blades themselves. We offer several material options for various mechanical/aesthetic embellishments. Pictured at left is a favorite of ours, our exotic chameleon skin finish which changes color depending on view angle, going from green to blue to purple to red, and this clip design really shows it off.
